Decider VR is a collaborative VR application designed to help groups make shared decisions more easily. Users can add and rank options — like where to go or what to do — while an AI-powered NPC evaluates and gives back the best choice based on criteria such as price, distance, and preferences.
The goal of Decider VR is to make group decision-making a fun, fast, and stress-free experience. It helps users reach conclusions more easily by combining anonymity, logical evaluation, and personal preferences — balancing factors like group income, time, and convenience to suggest what works best for everyone.
The AI NPC analyzes all submitted options along with user preferences and selected criteria. It ranks each option based on factors like distance, price, and personal preferences, then generates a clear recommendation with a short explanation.
Decision Maker supports private, multi-user rooms where friends join sessions to decide together. In VR, users are represented by avatars — either shared or randomly assigned.
The interface features a global start menu to begin sessions, restart, or close. Results are displayed visually with rankings, colors, or numerical scores. Each user can add or remove options and rank them.
Players begin by choosing their avatars before entering the main experience. Each avatar represents a unique player identity in the VR world. When finished, users can easily exit by clicking the Quit button, ensuring a smooth start and end to the session.
The main menu lets users create or join rooms for a collaborative experience. If they wish to change avatars, selecting Restart will return them to the selection screen. For quick exits, the Quit button provides an easy way to close the app instantly.
This immersive environment acts as the shared meeting space where avatars interact, discuss, and make decisions together. A room code allows easy lobby access, while an AI NPC observes and assists throughout the session to enhance communication and group efficiency.
Players can add, vote, or leave the decision session, with options clearly displayed through an interactive panel system.
Users can input their ideas, assigning price and distance criteria for more informed decision-making.
Participants rank options from most to least preferred, and the AI NPC tallies and recommends the optimal group choice.
The AI analyzes user input—considering factors such as price, distance, and personal preferences—to determine and recommend the best available option, while also explaining the reasoning behind its selection.
